A New Millennium - A New Beginning!

I can't begin by telling you that the dog has just recently had puppies, because for him that would be a most devastating endeavor! But, I can tell you that the dog has been driving me absolutely crazy!... Since the temperature here has dropped, (it's been in the 20's and for us that's cold) he seems to think it would be not only considerate but most appropriate if we were to build an addition on to our house - namely a room (with a view) for him! Rumor has it that eating at the table is next on his list of demands.

Matthew, of course, has gone back to college and is continuing his job there at the school cafeteria, this time training for a management position. Although the flu bug seems to be holding the entire campus hostage, he seems to be fairly content. College seems to be making a rather strong impression on him and has been quite an intellectual experience as well as spiritual. One I'm sure he will always remember. As a matter of fact, I heard the other night that several students were planning to gather on the balconey in the nude to perform a very spiritual snowdance!

Not to be out done by the son, Gene too has gone back to college this new millennium. He too is working very hard on his studies and can boast that it also is quite an experience! He is doing well and seems to enjoy the intellectual campus setting, although none of us have mentioned the fact that he has yet to be invited to a snowdance. (Now that I've got to see!!!!)

Shanna and Gigi are busy, busy, busy - planning for spring piano competitions, planning for a spring senior recital, planning for graduation, and planning for college in August. (Sometimes they're just plain busy trying to get the car up the hill on the ice!) As you can see they have big plans, but they will be the first to inform you that their plans are only second in comparison to their love for our heavenly Father. Their number one plan is following His! He has given them a most wonderful talent and we hope they get the opportunity to use it to bring hope to others.

I, of course, keep busy doing what mom's do. (Boy, that's a loaded statement!) In addition, you are presently looking at the start of my new endeavor. E-Commerce is the wave of the future and the place for me! There's a .com out there with my name on it, but first I must learn the ins and outs of website designing. (Okay, I know I've still got a long way to go - I'll get there!) I too have gone back to school and am taking a course in E-Marketing. It's an exciting new beginning!

Talk about exciting - now that's the Superbowl! What a suspenseful game! (The pizza was good too!) The Titans started out a little slow but made up for it in the second half. At our house, we chowed down, did some hootin' and hollerin' and just had a good 'ole time. Can't wait to do it again next year! By the way, my favorite commercial was the one where all the babies threw their hats off in the nursery, right next to the one where the guy stuck his hand down the leopard's throat and pulled out a Mountain Dew! The concensus here: we missed the frogs.
